Weekend Report

Here are a few picture collages of this past weekend activites. First the great time Geoff had at Camp of the Woods in Speculator, NY with the youth group from Central Baptist Church of Syracuse, NY (Go Orange!!!). An awesome time of celebrating God, His Word and Good News:
Then...Fanzone - the SuperBowl party at our house where we had 35-40 people in attendance. A bunch of Connor's friends (and their friends) from youth group and school. This included a video at halftime with stories from Chad Pennington, Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner at halftime, followed by a great talk from Connor:
Thanks for checking and praying!

heading to the Adirondacks, plus Super Bowl...

Geoff would appreciate your prayers this Friday and Saturday as he'll be speaking and leading worship at a winter camp for a group of high schoolers from an inner city church in Syracuse, NY. He'll be at Camp of the Woods in Speculator, NY (www.camp-of-the-woods.org) He'll try to communicate the fruit of the weekend when he gets back.

Also, we'll hosting a SuperBowl "Fanzone" party at our house on Sunday as part of the youth group ministry. Connor will be sharing some thoughts and testimony and having a number of friends over. Fun times!

THANKS!

Sorry for the delay....

Hello everyone,

We know it's been a long time coming. Last you heard we were "putting the floor in." Well, now we're living in our house (since October actually), although we just got door handles (inside) two days ago, our kitchen and master bath isn't finished and we have a BUNCH of unfinished things. BUT we have heat, nice carpet, nice wood floors and a lot of other things that are starting to make it a home. We had a beautiful fall and Christmas. The weather was GREAT. There was even lots of sunshine to go with the awesome fall color and pristine snow cover. There's a lot we could share about all that's going on in our lives but for now, suffice it to say that God is fulfilling His will in us. The first half of 1 Thess. 4:3 has been front and center for us in a strong way the last couple of years and probably no stronger than now. It's good, it's hard, it's beautiful, it's excruciating.....blessed be the name of the Lord.

Here's a link to some pictures from the last couple of months - including putting up Bay's bed (which used to be Connor's), Geoff's Grandma's 90th birthday, cutting down our Christmas tree, Connor serving at the Scranton Rescue Mission with a team from his youth group, plus some nice scenery and fun shots.

We hope to open up the gates again and start more regular entries to the blog, including pictures of the house! Thanks for caring and being interested enough to check in on us. And oh yeah, just email us at ellsworthg@gmail.com if you want our new home address.

The floor is going in!

S
We spent the last few days preparing for today...... the installation of the hardwood floors. It started today by 3 amusing African fellows. They're doing good work. Stay tuned for more pictures as we hope to actually spending the night by the middle of next week when Susan's parents come to visit for a couple of weeks. Thanks for staying up with us. Thank you for your prayers before you click out of this :-)
